Die Arbeit fängt zumeist mit dem Herstellen von vielfältigen, oft auf der Scheibe produzierten Einzelteilen an. Fast nie kenne ich deren letztendliche Bestimmung. Das heißt: Drehen, drehen, und nochmals drehen. Musikalische Impulse liefern mir Stimmungen und Ideen, die später zu Objekten werden. Die entstandenen Teile addiere ich und füge sie zu etwas Neuem. Ich ordne das scheinbar Chaotische, ohne Spontaneität und Skizzenhaftigkeit aufzugeben. Ich erschaffe neue Welten im Miniaturformat.
My work is first of all the building of an innumerable variety of single pieces, often produced on the throwing wheel. That means: Throwing, throwing and throwing once again - often driven by different musical impulses. These provide moods and ideas which later shape the objects. The produced pieces are added and arranged into something independent and new. I try to put in order the chaotic, the "overstock", without compromising the spontaneity of the objects. In this way, I form new worlds in miniature format.
